Jimmy Mac's Restaurant

Jimmy Mac's was my favorite restaurant in Tampa. Everything they made was always delicious. When they relocated to NC years ago I didn't think I would ever be able to eat their delicious food again. Surprise, I am now living in NC and going to Jimmy Mac's real soon is tops on my bucket list. 🤗

Live in Blairsville GA but love Jimmy Mac’s in Bryson City but can’t seem to catch them open anymore. Drove out there for my birthday thing on Thur Apr 14th 2022 but at 1pm the placed was closed. Anybody know if they are still in business???

Passing through Bryson City and needed a quick lunch. Stopped by at a little past noon and the restaurant wasn't crowded. We were told to sit anywhere we like. Our waitress came with the menus and silverware very promptly. We got our drink order quickly. The menu was simple but with variety. They have Buffalo and elk on the menu. My co-workers ordered both elk and buffalo burger. They enjoyed it quite a bit. I ordered the mountain trout and had it grilled. I get two sides with my fish and I chose fresh vegetables and steak fries. It was a pretty good meal. My fish was under the extended lunch menu but it was still $13. Pretty pricey for lunch. Maybe because of the location? Overall, it was a good visit.

We were there a couple years back,and really loved our dinner there . First time for Trout and it was amazing with baked potatoes and salad ! Most definitely will be back. Also a Rèisling wine that was fantastic!!!

They were busy when we got there and had to wait for about 25 mins. The staff were nice and friendly. The food was delicious but took longer than we'd prefer. But they all came out great, so the long wait was somehow worth it. Their prices are a little bit high but the portions are good.

Great local restaurant and very nice staff! We were seated quickly and our drink orders were fulfilled quick. The menu was very large with an option for anyone (including a good kid's menu). The appetizers were delicious but I cannot say the same about my meal. I had the Bleu Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and I like bleu cheese but they put on WAY too much. Maybe some people like it that way but it wasn't for me. For the most part everyone else's meals were fine. The bathrooms were also very dirty and were definitely due for a cleaning. All in all, I would recommend this place to any locals just make sure you explicitly tell them how you want your food.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Their Lunch portions are very good sized. I had the Dixie Chicken, Blackened. Came with a salad and 1 side. The Apple sauce was a chunky style: never had it this way. It was very delious.

So glad we found this restaurant. It is a locals place but the food is good home cooked food. We had grilled trout & it was to die for. The waitress was so nice and accommodating. We would definitely return.

This is an older established restaurant in town. It's a local favorite and once you see the menu, you'll understand why! The menu is huge with many appetizers, entrees, full meals and deserts. My wife and I both had Burgers and they were delicious. The meat was fresh and had a grilled taste to it. The burgers are very large and my wife barely finished half. We also had the stuffed shrimp for an appetizer. It was the best we ever had and completely surprising since it's not a seafood place. We watched the meals come out with heaping amounts of food on the plate. Our waitress was very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. The food was a bit slow coming out but being everything is cooked to order, it's understandable. There is a very nice selection of steak, burgers, seafood, salads, and other items on the menu. It took us ten minutes trying to narrow down something to eat since everything looks so good. Great place!

Best food we have ever eaten. We both had seafood and fried mushrooms as an appetizer. Our waitress, Lisa was efficient and very friendly. We have met so many warm people while we have been vacationing in Bryson City. Please try the oysters, shrimp and scallops. They literally melt in your mouth and the batter is so light and flaky.

Friendly pricing for a budget vacation. Busy from the time we got here till we paid check and left. I ordered the chicken club which looks absolutely awesome! Very happy 😊 with service. Please stop in and check this place out. Parking fills up quickly around restaurant. Beware of tow zones and 2 hour parking.

You can tell this is a locals pick by the laughter and children following the waitresses around. But what you wont expect for such a modest home town restaurant are the savory meals they serve. One of the Best places I ate at in the Smokies while I have been here. They even offer Bison in their list of meats for burgers. People, if you miss eating here, well I feel sorry for you, because you really missed a great meal and a nice place to be. B

We stopped here while passing through and were thoroughly impressed and charmed by the restaurant, staff, and the whole town. We were looking for a small, local place with great burgers and were not disappointed. The service was great and the food was perfectly fresh and seasoned.

Quaint little town restaurant. Food was excellent. In the 40 years that my wife and i have been traveling she said she got the best broccoli and cheese soup ever. Hats up to the chef who makes it. Will be back again.
